St. Catharines downs Brantford in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The St. Catharines Falcons' Kyle Woodhouse scored 27 seconds into overtime to beat the Brantford Golden Eagles, 3-2 (OT).

With the win, St. Catharines evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

The Falcons were paced by Woodhouse, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

Brantford was unable to stop St. Catharines from sending pucks towards the net, and the Falcons eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

St. Catharines also got points from Aaron Taylor, who also had one goal and one assist. St. Catharines also got a goal from Broderick Kelly as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Jimmy Sheehan, who had one and Ben Dubois, who had two.

The Golden Eagles kept St. Catharines' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brad Pope made 41 saves on 43 shots.

Brantford was helped by Dillan Walker, who had one goal. Walker scored 19:19 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Dave Lazurus picked up the assist. Tanner Rutland also scored for Brantford. More assists for Brantford came via Eric Jackson, Matt Quilty, and Tyler Norrie, who each chipped in one.

The Falcons totaled 31 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. St. Catharines ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Johnson Andrews was ejected from the game. Bryce O Hagan rejected 33 shots on goal for the Golden Eagles. Brantford incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
