The Kalamazoo Jr. K Wings' Christian George scored 3:05 into overtime to beat the Port Huron Fighting Falcons, 2-1 (OT). After the loss made the series score 1-2 in the best of five series, Port Huron faces elimination next time out. George had two goals to lead Kalamazoo to victory. The Fighting Falcons were stymied by the Jr. K Wings netminder Kenneth MacLean, who stopped 38 shots during the victory. MacLean managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.16 prior to the game. Port Huron was unable to stop Kalamazoo from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jr. K Wings eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. More assists for Kalamazoo came via Chris Leone and Brett Beauvais, who each chipped in one. The Fighting Falcons forced Kalamazoo goalie MacLean to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Port Huron was led by Sean Gammage, who scored the team's only goal. Gammage scored 16:38 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Jake Goldberg picked up the assist.
