Port Huron downs Kalamazoo, 5-2

Alex Archibald registered one point to lead the Port Huron Fighting Falcons to a 5-2 victory over the Kalamazoo Jr. K Wings.

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, Kalamazoo faces elimination next time out.

The defensemen of Port Huron were also effective in the Jr. K Wings' zone, and came away with two goals.

Others who scored for Port Huron included Mike Moroso, who had two and Ryan Teal and Brett DAndrea, who scored one goal each. More assists for Port Huron came via Bret Lewandowski, who had three and Kody Polin, Easton Powers, Jake Goldberg, Ian Miller, Alex Globke, Logan Lemirande, and Rick DeRosa, who contributed one a piece.

Kalamazoo did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

The Fighting Falcons' Max Milosek stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Port Huron incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Kenneth MacLean rejected 25 shots on goal for the Jr. K Wings. Kalamazoo registered two goals on five power play opportunities.
