Andrew Graves had two goals and one assist to lead the Kalamazoo Jr. K Wings to a 7-3 victory over the Traverse City North Stars.

Graves' tallies came on the power play at 12:57 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 11:27 into the second to make the score 4-3 Kalamazoo.

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, Traverse City faces elimination next time out.

Kalamazoo forced the North Stars goalie Kyle Laslo to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Kalamazoo also got points from Chris Leone, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Robbie Payne, who also racked up one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Kalamazoo also got a goal from Jacob McDowell as well. More assists for Kalamazoo came via Brock Raffaele, who had two, Brandon Flood, who had three, and Matt Lanzillotti, Alex Brooks, and Kyle Gattelaro, who each chipped in one.

Traverse City was helped by Nathan Harris, who had one goal and one assist. Harris scored 15:07 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Traverse City. Sean Murphy provided the assist. Traverse City additionally got points from Murphy, who also registered one goal and one assist. Eric Rivard also scored for Traverse City. Other players who recorded assists for Traverse City were Chris Waterstreet and Chris Leibinger, who contributed one a piece.

Alex Okicki made 26 saves for the Jr. K Wings on 29 shots. Kalamazoo totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Laslo rejected 24 shots on goal for the North Stars. Traverse City totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
