Northern Lights rips Seattle Totems, 6-0

Northern Lights had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-0 win over Seattle Totems.

Ben Hull had two goals to lead Northern Lights to victory. Hull's tallies came at 2:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Northern Lights and 12:56 into the second to make the score 5-0 Northern Lights.

Northern Lights forced Seattle Totems' goaltenders to work in net, getting 41 shots and forcing 35 saves. Will Granger made 11 stops and Bryce Fink made 24. Northern Lights managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Northern Lights wound up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Northern Lights also got a goal from Eric Shand as well. Other players who recorded assists for Northern Lights were Dominic Shuttleworth, Corbin Belling, Cole Larson, and Gleb Kulikov, who each chipped in one and Gordon Wells, Dylan Blankenship, and Lukas Sumerauer, who contributed two a piece.

Seattle Totems stifled Northern Lights' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Nick Heimer rejected 23 shots on goal for Northern Lights. Northern Lights registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. Seattle Totems incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
