Helena Bighorns rolls over Chicago Bulldogs, 10-3

Helena Bighorns' Theo Campe had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 10-3 win over Chicago Bulldogs.

Campe's tallies came at 9:59 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Helena Bighorns and 10:16 into the second to make the score 5-0 Helena Bighorns.

Helena Bighorns pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Helena Bighorns put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Chicago Bulldogs to score on any of its eight power plays. Chicago Bulldogs was unable to stop Helena Bighorns from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena Bighorns eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. Helena Bighorns outdid its season average for goals scored. Helena Bighorns has scored at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign. Helena Bighorns got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

Helena Bighorns also got points from Drew Ingram, who also registered one goal and one assist and Cody Blom, who also racked up two goals and two assists. Others who scored for Helena Bighorns included Brian Skillicorn, who had three and Ben Henne and Damon Hanson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Helena Bighorns received assists from Michael Sullivan, who had three, Trevor Tracy, who had four, and Levi Blom, Devin Smith, and Balasz Goz, who each chipped in one.

Chicago Bulldogs was helped by Luke Morin, who tallied two goals. Morin scored the first of his two goals at 3:53 into the third period to make the score 8-2 Helena Bighorns. Peter Jorgensen assisted on the tally. Morin's next tally made the score 9-3 Helena Bighorns with 3:35 left in the third period. Jordan Swiderski picked up the assist. Chicago Bulldogs additionally got points from Jorgensen, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Chicago Bulldogs came via Matthew Gazzola and Vittorio Bruno, who contributed one a piece.

Helena Bighorns took out Trey Flesch after he had made 11 saves and installed Jett Salinas in goal, where he finished with 12 saves and the win. Helena Bighorns registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Chicago Bulldogs' Lee Satran stopped 40 shots out of the 50 that he faced. Chicago Bulldogs incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
