Atlanta Knights stifles Long Island Royals' comeback, gains 4-3 victory

Long Island Royals almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but Atlanta Knights managed to pull out a 4-3 win in the end.

Atlanta Knights led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Atlanta Knights' Jeff Lamb's scored at 15:12 in the first period to put Atlanta Knights up 4-1.

Atlanta Knights' offense was sparked by Mikey Edwards, as he ended with three assists in a victory against Long Island Royals.

Atlanta Knights pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

Atlanta Knights kept Long Island Royals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brendan Jones made 56 saves on 60 shots.

Atlanta Knights also got points from Alex Brissette, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Atlanta Knights also got a goal from Dave Castellion as well. In addition, Atlanta Knights received assists from Brent Wilcox and Jeremy Bost, who each chipped in one.

Long Island Royals' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Long Island Royals gives up 1.7 goal per game. Long Island Royals struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 16 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

Long Island Royals was led by JT Hall, who tallied two goals. Hall scored the first of his two goals at 11:40 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Atlanta Knights. Trevor Jones picked up the assist. Hall's next tally made the score 4-2 Atlanta Knights with 18:31 left in the second period. Long Island Royals had gotten the advantage when Atlanta Knights' Brandon Haase was sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Matt Goldberg also scored for Long Island Royals.

Derek Willms rejected 25 shots on goal for Atlanta Knights. Long Island Royals registered one goal on eight power play opportunities.
