Michael Bitzer recorded a shutout against the Austin Bruins as the Alexandria Blizzard picked up a 5-0 win. With the win, Alexandria evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown. The Blizzard got the win on the strength of a great game by Reid Sturos, who had one goal and two assists. Sturos scored 1:45 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Alexandria. Seth Ronsberg provided the assist. Alexandria made Bruins' goaltenders to work between the pipes, getting 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Tyler Bruggeman made 18 stops and Nicholas Lehr made 11. The Blizzard's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Austin power plays. Alexandria also got points from Tucker Coborn, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Ronsberg, who also had one goal and two assists. Jordan Krebsbach also scored for Alexandria. Other players who recorded assists for Alexandria were Thomas Williams, who had two and Aidan Cavallini, Nick DeCenzo, and Nick DAvolio, who contributed one a piece. Austin forced Alexandria goalie Bitzer to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. The Bruins were led by Matt Hansen, who took five shots. Bitzer recorded 32 saves for the Blizzard.
