Matthew Zendejas tallied one point to lead Hampton Roads Whalers to a 5-2 victory over Fort Wayne Federals.

Hampton Roads Whalers kept Fort Wayne Federals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jesse Weitzel made 32 saves on 37 shots.

Hampton Roads Whalers additionally got points from Cameron Snyder, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Ryan Collins, who also had one goal and one assist, and Nicholas Szalacinski, who also registered one goal and one assist. Paul Hefferin also scored for Hampton Roads Whalers. Other players who recorded assists for Hampton Roads Whalers were Dylan Woods, who had one, Ryan Salkeld, who had two, and Cody Pessig, who had three.
