The Janesville Jets survived a determined comeback attempt by the Springfield Jr. Blues on the way to a 2-1 win. Janesville made the score 2-0 on a goal by Lawrence Childs at 3:59 in the third period, and Springfield got as close as 2-1 when Ethan Nauman scored 11:04 into the third period. The Jets evened the best of five series at 2-2 and forced a deciding game five. Childs had a great game for Janesville, netting two goals. The Jets' offense rang up 34 shots on the Jr. Blues' net. More assists for Janesville came via Garrett Cecere and Adam Frank, who contributed one a piece. Springfield put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Janesville to score on any of its five power plays. Other players who recorded assists for Springfield were Gavin Tufte and Radim Matus, who each chipped in one. Tony Kujava made 20 saves for the Jets on 21 shots. Janesville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gabe Antoni rejected 32 shots on goal for the Jr. Blues. Springfield incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
