Cornwall falls to Hawkesbury in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Hawkesbury Hawks' Stephen Hrehoriak scored 13:11 into overtime to beat the Cornwall Colts, 3-2 (OT).

The win moved Hawkesbury to down 2-1 in the best of seven series.

The Hawks were led by Hrehoriak, who tallied one goal.

Hawkesbury also got a goal from Sebastian Meltzer as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Philippe Saviuk and Nick Samoluk, who contributed one a piece and Remi Elie and Anthony Sanniti, who each chipped in two.

Cornwall was helped by Kyle Baun, who grabbed one goal. Baun scored on the power play 1:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cornwall. A tripping penalty on Hrehoriak had put the Colts on the power play. Tyson Spink provided the assist. Connor Primeau also scored for Cornwall. More assists for Cornwall came via Trent Durocher, Billy Ulrick, and Michael Borkowski, who contributed one a piece.

Carmine Guerriero recorded 28 saves for Hawkesbury. The Hawks incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Hawkesbury ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Sebastien Lavoie was ejected from the game. Lukas Hafner made 24 saves for Cornwall on 27 shots. The Colts incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
