Behind a great game by Tyson Spink, who had two goals and one assist, the Cornwall Colts defeated the Hawkesbury Hawks, 3-0. Spink scored at 1:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cornwall and again while on the power play 11:19 into the second to make the score 3-0 Cornwall.The win gave Cornwall a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Colts pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 16 penalty minutes. Cornwall's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Hawkesbury power plays. The Colts forced Hawkesbury goalie Carmine Guerriero to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Cornwall also got points from Tylor Spink, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Michael Borkowski, who had two and Stephen Johnson and Kyle Baun, who each chipped in one. Lukas Hafner recorded 24 saves for Cornwall. The Colts registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. For Cornwall, Michael Woolley was ejected from the game. The Hawks' Guerriero stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Hawkesbury incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. The Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brett Costello was ejected from the game.
