Port Colborne blows out Niagara Falls, 4-1

The Niagara Falls Canucks had trouble finding ways to stop the Port Colborne Pirates, which beat Canucks, 4-1.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Niagara Falls faces elimination next time out.

Port Colborne was led by Jordan Warren, who tallied one goal. Warren scored 17:45 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Port Colborne. Bryan Komasara assisted on the tally.

The Pirates stifled the Canucks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

James Tyminski also scored for Port Colborne. More assists for Port Colborne came via Nick Schiro, who had two, Carson Minor, who had three, and Dayne Phillips and Real Cormier, who each chipped in one.

Niagara Falls' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Port Colborne power plays.

The Canucks were led by Ben O Quinn, who scored the team's only goal. O Quinn scored 19:50 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Port Colborne. Cam McLean picked up the assist.

Cormier recorded 16 saves for Port Colborne. The Pirates incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Niagara Falls' Cody Vinnai stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Canucks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
