Rockets to face Nationals in WOC Final Jordan McNaughton's goal 3:18 into the third overtime lifted the Strathroy Rockets to a 2-1 series-clinching upset victory over the top-seeded Sarnia Legionnaires in Game 6 of their conference semi-final. With the win, the seventh-seed Rockets advance to the GOJHL Western Conference Championship Series against the third-seeded London Nationals. The Rockets were led by goalie Dalen Kuchmey, who finished with 62 saves while allowing one goal. Kuchmey certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.25 entering the contest. Strathroy was paced by McNaughton, who grabbed one goal and one assist. The Rockets forced Sarnia goalie Kyle Washer to work between the pipes, taking 80 shots. Coulter Cahill also scored for Strathroy. More assists for Strathroy came via Jacob Baribeau, Stuart King, and Justin Thomas, who contributed one a piece. The Legionnaires' offense rang up 63 shots on Strathroy's net. Sarnia was led by Jason Teschke, who scored the team's only goal. Teschke scored 9:21 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Jesse Drydak provided the assist. The Rockets incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sarnia incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
