The Carleton Place Canadians had trouble finding ways to stop the Hawkesbury Hawks, which beat Canadians, 5-1. The win moved Hawkesbury to down 2-0 in the best of seven series. The Hawks pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 25 penalty minutes. Hawkesbury was led by Brandon Bussey, who finished with one goal. Bussey scored short handed 10:51 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Hawkesbury. A major penalty call on Sebastien Lavoie put the Hawks on the penalty kill. Carl Faucher picked up the assist. Hawkesbury was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Hawkesbury also got points from Remi Elie, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Hawkesbury also got a goal from Francis Landers as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Ty Perry, Stephen Hrehoriak, and Sebastian Meltzer, who contributed one a piece and Philippe Saviuk and Yanik Laliberte, who each chipped in two. Carleton Place was led by Dustin Darou, who scored the team's only goal. Darou scored on the power play 7:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mac Olson provided the assist. Carmine Guerriero rejected 22 shots on goal for the Hawks. Hawkesbury ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Lavoie was ejected from the game. Brodie Barrick recorded 20 saves for the Canadians. Carleton Place totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-8 on the power play. For the Canadians, Elias Ghantous was ejected from the game.
