The Pembroke Lumber Kings tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but the Brockville Braves held on for a 4-3 victory. Brockville made the score 4-0 on a goal by Hayden Hulton at 4:47 in the second period, and Pembroke got as close as 4-3 when Will Seeber scored 14:38 into the third period. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, the Lumber Kings face elimination next time out. Sebastien Gingras had two goals and one assist to lead the Braves. Gingras scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:34 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brockville. Brockville had gained a power play chance when Justin Stevens was whistled for holding. Matt Chartrain assisted on the tally. Gingras' next tally on the power play made the score 3-0 Brockville with 19:17 left in the second period. Mike DeBello picked up the assist. Pembroke was unable to stop the Braves from sending pucks towards the net, and Brockville eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. David Ferreira also scored for Brockville. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Ben Blasko, who had two and Brandon Anselmini and Kenny Matheson, who each chipped in one. More assists for Pembroke came via Jonathan Milley, who had three and Trevor Packard, Brandon Gagne, and Justin Pelock, who contributed one a piece. William Betts recorded 24 saves for the Braves. Brockville incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Lumber Kings' Francis Dupuis stopped 30 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Pembroke incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. The Lumber Kings ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Zach Loesch was ejected from the game.
