Cornwall's Spink deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Ottawa

The Cornwall Colts relied on the scoring touch of Tyson Spink, who netted two goals, to beat the Ottawa Senators, 4-1.

Spink's tallies came at 2:41 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cornwall and on the power play 9:22 into the second to make the score 4-0 Cornwall.

The win by Cornwall clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

The Colts put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Ottawa to score on any of its three power plays.

Cornwall additionally got points from Kyle Baun, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Tylor Spink, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Michael Borkowski, who had three and Stephen Johnson and Marly Quince, who each chipped in one.

Lukas Hafner rejected 23 shots on goal for Cornwall. The Colts totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-8 on the power play. For Cornwall, Billy Ulrick was ejected from the game. Charlie Millen took the loss and made 10 saves before being replaced by Ed Zdolshek who made seven saves. The Senators ended with 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and two majors.
