A four-goal first period deficit cost Billings, which could not recover and fell to Helena, 7-2. The win by Helena clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. Ben Henne was all over the ice for Helena, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Henne scored 2:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena. Hagen Nemzek assisted on the tally. Billings was unable to stop Helena from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena eventually piled up 59 shots on goal. Helena additionally got points from Danny Fazio, who also had one goal and one assist and Balasz Goz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Helena also got a goal from Alex DeWitz as well. In addition, Helena received assists from Brandon Rumble, Trevor Tracy, and Beau Ricketts, who contributed one a piece and Devin Smith, Theo Campe, and Tyler Narsing, who each chipped in two. Trey Flesch recorded 27 saves for Helena. Helena incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Billings' Nic Wackerly stopped 52 shots out of the 59 that he faced. Billings incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Billings ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Colby Spoonemore was ejected from the game.
