Helena relied on the sparkling performance of Trey Flesch in net to grab a 3-1 win against Billings.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Billings faces elimination next time out.

Helena's penalty kill excelled, as Helena gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Helena was sparked by Cody Blom, who registered one goal. Blom scored 8:30 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Helena. Alex DeWitz picked up the assist.

Helena stifled Billings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Helena forced Billings goalie Nic Wackerly to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Helena additionally got points from Ben Henne, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Theo Campe also scored for Helena. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Damon Hanson, Logan Hawgood, Balasz Goz, and Tyler Narsing, who each chipped in one.

Billings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Helena was unable to stop Billings from sending pucks towards the net, and Billings eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Billings was led by Jarret Stark, who scored the team's only goal. Stark scored 12:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Trey Robillard assisted on the tally.

Flesch rejected 37 shots on goal for Helena. Helena incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Wackerly recorded 35 saves for Billings. Billings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
