Whitby rides Feaver to victory over Kingston, 2-1

Tyler Feaver stood on his head and made 31 saves to lead the Whitby Fury to a 2-1 victory over the Kingston Voyageurs.

The win moved Whitby to down 2-0 in the best of seven series.

The Fury were led by Jack Lewis, who finished with one goal and one assist. Lewis scored on the power play 3:50 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Whitby. Whitby earned a power play opportunity when Steve McParland was put in the box for tripping. Matt Davis assisted on the tally.

The Fury stifled Kingston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Ryan Kirkup also scored for Whitby. More assists for Whitby came via Chris Raguseo and Quincy McIvor, who contributed one a piece.

The Voyageurs' offense rang up 32 shots on Whitby's net.

Kingston was led by Graham Yeo, who scored the team's only goal. Yeo scored 14:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kingston. Brett Du Puy picked up the assist.

The Fury incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Charlie Finn made 22 saves for the Voyageurs on 24 shots. Kingston incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
