Cleveland rolls over Metro, 5-2

The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks were firing on all cylinders against the Metro Jets, and when the final buzzer sounded Jr. Lumberjacks emerged with a 5-2 win.

The win by Cleveland clinched the best of three series at 2-1.

The Jr. Lumberjacks kept Metro's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dillon Kelley made 27 saves on 32 shots.

Cleveland was helped by Kyle Fink, who tallied one goal and one assist. Fink scored 10:56 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Cleveland. Louis Sawchik picked up the assist. Cleveland also got points from Cameron Dimmitt, who also racked up one goal and one assist and David Fassbender, who also had one goal and one assist. Bo Zinner also scored for Cleveland. More assists for Cleveland came via Fred West, who had two and Andrew Mitch, who had three.

The Jets forced the Jr. Lumberjacks goalie Lawrence Dvorak Jr to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

Metro was led by Steve Klisz, who registered one goal. Klisz scored on the power play 11:07 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Cleveland. The Jets had taken the advantage when Cleveland's Jon Bayer got sent off for interference. Will Shier provided the assist. Metro also got a goal from Cameron Bazin as well. In addition, Metro received assists from Mike MacKinnon, who had one.

Lawrence Dvorak Jr made 43 saves for the Jr. Lumberjacks on 45 shots. Cleveland incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Metro incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
