Mike Riley netted a hat trick to lead the Brantford Golden Eagles over the Kitchener Dutchmen, 5-2. Riley's first goal came 46 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 5:19 into the first and at 19:48 into the third.With the win, Brantford evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. The Golden Eagles kept Kitchener's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mario Duscio made 47 saves on 52 shots. Brantford also got a goal from Trent Hawke as well. More assists for Brantford came via Dillan Walker, who had two, Mike Rebry, who had three, and Eric Jackson and Brett Appio, who each chipped in one. The Dutchmen were helped by Phil Edgar, who finished with two goals. Edgar scored the first of his two goals at 17:52 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brantford. Paul Sergi assisted on the tally. Edgar's next tally made the score 4-2 Brantford with 53 seconds left in the third period. Keli Grant picked up the assist. In addition, Kitchener received assists from Brandon Lesway, who had one. Bryce O Hagan made 26 saves for Brantford on 28 shots. The Golden Eagles incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kitchener incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
