Donati lifts Sarnia over Lambton Shores, 6-3Sarnia Arena Sun, Mar 04, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Anthony Donati had two goals to lead the Sarnia Legionnaires to a 6-3 victory over the Lambton Shores Predators. Donati scored on the power play at 8:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 14:24 into the first to make the score 2-1 Sarnia.After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Lambton Shores faces elimination next time out. Sarnia was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled 11 minors and two majors for 32 minutes in penalty time. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Sarnia additionally got points from Brent Sauve, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Sarnia also got a goal from Jason Teschke as well. In addition, Sarnia received assists from Steve Farlow, who had three and Matt Cimetta, Nathan Mater, Evan Dixon, Jesse Drydak, Tyler Prong, and Kyle Washer, who contributed one a piece. The Predators' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Lambton Shores finished with 28 penalty minutes. The Predators were helped by Adam Arseneault, who registered one goal. Arseneault scored on the power play 6:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores. Lambton Shores had gained a power play chance when Donati was whistled for slashing. Tanner Ferguson picked up the assist. Ryan Rontondi also scored for Lambton Shores. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Brett Thompson, who had one and Corey Pawley, who had two. Kyle Washer made 19 saves for the Legionnaires on 22 shots. Sarnia registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Team's Mike Dipaolo and Louie Rowe were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Brandon Campbell took the loss and made 14 saves before being replaced by Justin Tugwell who made 10 saves. The Predators registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. For Lambton Shores, Kody Ryan and Jordan Belanger were ejected from the contest.
