The Buffalo Jr. Blades had trouble finding ways to stop the St. Catharines Falcons, which beat Jr. Blades, 10-0. The win gave St. Catharines a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Johnson Andrews was all over the ice for the Falcons, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Andrews scored 25 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Catharines. Ben Dubois picked up the assist. St. Catharines excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Falcons' offense rang up 69 shots on Buffalo's net. St. Catharines could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game. St. Catharines also had goals scored by Tyler Jackson, Matt Moes, and Luke Karaim, who scored one goal each and Nick Hovanessian and Aaron Taylor, who each put in three. More assists for St. Catharines came via Jesse Miller and Spencer DeWolfe, who each chipped in one, Riley Jakobschuk and Kenny Bradford, who contributed two a piece, and Jimmy Sheehan, Kyle Woodhouse, and Andy Sturtz, who each chipped in three. The Jr. Blades could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 56 minutes in penalties during the game. Brad Pope recorded 15 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Cory Sorrento made 59 saves for Buffalo on 69 shots. The Jr. Blades ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Anthony Whipple was ejected from the game.
