Sean Fleming gave the Philadelphia Revolution Revolution a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Syracuse Stars Junior Stars when he scored 5:51 into the extra period. The win gave Philadelphia Revolution a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. Syracuse Stars could not complete its climb out of a three-goal hole. The Revolution made it 4-1 on a goal by Michael Young at 11:40 in the second period. The Junior Stars pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Jeremy Marginsky at 14:23 in the third period. With three goals and two assists between them, Fleming and Kyle Jennings teamed up to power Philadelphia Revolution's offense. Fleming tallied one goal and two assists and Jennings also added two goals. The Revolution's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Syracuse Stars power plays. Philadelphia Revolution kept Syracuse Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nate Skidmore made 28 saves on 33 shots. Philadelphia Revolution also got a goal from Manvil Billones as well. Other players who recorded assists for Philadelphia Revolution were Jonathan Houk, who had two and Clint Aussprung, James Wallace, Taylor Glanding, and Joseph Kotlarczyk, who contributed one a piece. The Junior Stars stifled the Revolution's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Philadelphia Revolution was unable to stop Syracuse Stars from sending pucks towards the net, and the Junior Stars eventually piled up 54 shots on goal. Syracuse Stars was led by Alex Brink, who registered two goals. Brink scored the first of his two goals at 14:54 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Anthony Eno assisted on the tally. Brink's next tally made the score 4-2 Philadelphia Revolution with 57 seconds left in the second period. Alex Tuch picked up the assist. Syracuse Stars additionally got points from Casie Garrison, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Syracuse Stars came via Alex Fukes, who had one and Luke Kirwan, who had two. Robert Palzer recorded 50 saves for the Revolution. Philadelphia Revolution incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
