Brewster Bulldogs downs Philadelphia Revolution, 7-3

Even with Clint Aussprung's three points, the Philadelphia Revolution Revolution lost 7-3 to the Brewster Bulldogs Bulldogs.

The win gave Brewster Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

In the losing effort, Philadelphia Revolution was paced by Aussprung, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Aussprung scored the first of his two goals at 5:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Philadelphia Revolution. Manvil Billones assisted on the tally. Aussprung's next tally made the score 3-2 Philadelphia Revolution with 3:55 left in the first period. Billones picked up the assist.

The Bulldogs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Philadelphia Revolution power plays. Brewster Bulldogs kept the Revolution's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joseph Marshall made 36 saves on 43 shots. The Bulldogs' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Brewster Bulldogs was led by Todd Brown, who had one goal and one assist. Brown scored 9:34 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Brewster Bulldogs. Bengt-Erik Nergaard assisted on the tally. Brewster Bulldogs additionally got points from Nicholas Alexander, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brewster Bulldogs also got a goal from Michael McGivney as well. In addition, Brewster Bulldogs received assists from William Norris, Tyler Stark, Jake Garay, and David Landau, who contributed one a piece.

The Bulldogs were unable to stop Philadelphia Revolution from sending pucks towards the net, and the Revolution eventually piled up 48 shots on goal. Philadelphia Revolution did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Peter Malamud also scored for Philadelphia Revolution. More assists for Philadelphia Revolution came via James Tierney, who had one.

Stark rejected 45 shots on goal for Brewster Bulldogs. The Bulldogs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
