The Vaughan Vipers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots held on for a 3-1 victory. Toronto Lakeshore made the score 3-0 on a goal by Robbie Murden at 5:57 in the third period, and Vaughan got as close as 3-1 when Ryan Rumble scored 16:42 into the third period. With the win, the Patriots evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. Toronto Lakeshore was led by Shane Cavalieri, who grabbed one goal. Cavalieri scored 4:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Lakeshore. Alex D Oliveira provided the assist. The Patriots put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Vipers to score on any of their three power plays. Brandon Willett also scored for Toronto Lakeshore. More assists for Toronto Lakeshore came via Rob Simpson, Doug Bonar, Kyle Dutra, and Luke Shiplo, who each chipped in one. Vaughan's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Toronto Lakeshore power plays. The Vipers' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Vaughan finished with 20 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Ryan Clarkson, who totaled four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Other players who recorded assists for Vaughan were Michael Apreda and Robert Ward, who contributed one each. Joseph Pianta turned away 21 pucks between the pipes for Toronto Lakeshore. The Patriots incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. George Argiropoulos recorded 25 saves for the Vipers.
