The Georgetown Raiders were firing on all cylinders against the Burlington Cougars, and when the final buzzer sounded Raiders emerged with a 4-1 win.

The win by Georgetown broke a deadlock and gave the Raiders a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Georgetown was sparked by Patrick Megannety, who tallied one goal and one assist. Megannety scored 7:48 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Georgetown. Caleb Apperson provided the assist.

The Raiders made Cougars' netminders to work between the pipes, ripping 43 shots and forcing 39 saves. Braden Mann made 16 stops and Alex Murray made 23. Georgetown put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Burlington to score on any of its four power plays. The Raiders were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 14 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Apperson, who totaled four minutes in penalty time with two minors.

Georgetown also got points from Megannety, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jake Emilio also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Nathaniel Domagala, who had two and Conor McLoughlin, Stephen Genua, Jacob Bauchman, and Ryan Lopes, who contributed one each.

The Cougars were led by Brett Coulson, who scored the team's only goal. Coulson scored 5:18 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Georgetown. Dan Lomas assisted on the tally.

Steven Racine made 24 saves for Georgetown on 25 shots. The Raiders registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Burlington incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
