The Burlington Cougars' Jeremy Gottzmann scored 1:19 into overtime to beat the Georgetown Raiders, 4-3 (OT). With the win, Burlington evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. The Cougars came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Burlington fell behind 3-1 after a goal by Georgetown's Jake Emilio at 2:45 in the third period. The Cougars knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Slater Doggett at 19:55 in the third period. Burlington was sparked by Doggett, who tallied one goal and one assist. The Cougars kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Steven Racine made 35 saves on 39 shots. Burlington additionally got points from Doggett, who also registered one goal and one assist. Austin Kosack also scored for Burlington. In addition, Burlington received assists from Shane Conacher, who had two and Gavin Shantz, Justin Scott, and Michael Crocock, who each chipped in one. Burlington was unable to stop Georgetown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 59 shots on goal. Georgetown could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was Stephen Genua, who totaled 12 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one misconduct. The Raiders were helped by Braden Kavaratzis, who racked up one goal. Kavaratzis scored 14:21 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Tyson Fawcett provided the assist. Georgetown got a goal from Brendan Woods as well. More assists for Georgetown came via Daniel McNamara, Geoffrey Bagnall, Jacob Bauchman, and Ryan Lopes, who contributed one each. Braden Mann turned away 56 pucks between the pipes for the Cougars. Burlington incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Georgetown registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
