Behind a great game by Vittorio Bruno, who had two goals, the Chicago Jr Bulldogs defeated the Central Wisconsin Saints, 8-5. Bruno found the back of the net on the power play 3:21 into the third period to make the score 5-4 Chicago and again while 7:59 into the third to make the score 6-4 Chicago.The win by Chicago clinched the best of three series at 2-0. The Jr Bulldogs' penalty kill excelled, as Chicago gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Jr Bulldogs forced Central Wisconsin's goaltenders to work all game long, launching 55 shots and forcing 47 saves. Mitchell Hanson made 30 stops and Stephen Salek made 17. Chicago stifled the Saints' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Jr Bulldogs' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Chicago finished with 18 penalty minutes. Chicago also got points from Peter Jorgensen, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Matthew Soukup, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Chicago also got a goal from James Bohne as well. In addition, Chicago received assists from Michael Maines, Tyler Cosentino, Rudy Masa, Garrett McCaig, Daniel Doyle, and Jordan Swiderski, who each chipped in one. Central Wisconsin's offense rang up 37 shots on the Jr Bulldogs' net. The Saints were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 29 penalty minutes. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Central Wisconsin was led by Joseph Mitch, who registered one goal and two assists. Mitch scored 18:04 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Central Wisconsin. Ian Dart provided the assist. Antonio Falcon also scored for Central Wisconsin. More assists for Central Wisconsin came via Chase Engdahl, Michael Tiberi, and Max Culp, who contributed one a piece. Chicago's Lee Satran stopped 32 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Jr Bulldogs registered one goal on six power play opportunities. For the Saints, Falcon was ejected from the game.
