Dylan Bursey grabbed two points to lead the Stayner Siskins to a 7-3 victory over the Midland Flyers. The win by Stayner clinched the best of seven series at 0-4. In the losing effort, Midland was sparked by Cody Beasley, who had two goals and one assist. Beasley scored the first of his two goals at 1:02 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Midland. Curtis Warren assisted on the tally. Beasley's next tally made the score 3-0 Midland with 15:02 left in the first period. Brent Harvey picked up the assist. The Siskins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Midland power plays. Stayner's defensemen played an important role in the offense, as they chipped in two goals. Stayner also got points from Cody Brown, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Mike Mullay, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Bursey, who also registered one goal and one assist. Stayner got a goal from James Hennessy as well. Other players who recorded assists for Stayner were Jordan Lee, Cooper Martin, Riley Brooks, Evan MacDonald, Mac Flewlling AP, and Connor Watt, who each chipped in one and Justin Reid and Tyler Happeney, who contributed two each. The Flyers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was Graham Pickard, who totaled 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two misconducts. Midland additionally got points from Warren, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Midland came via Mackenzie Sealy, who had one. The Siskins incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Midland, Pickard was ejected from the game.
