The Stayner Siskins pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Midland Flyers on a clutch goal by Cody Brown. After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Midland faces elimination next time out. Stayner did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Siskins put an average of six pucks into the net per game. The Flyers were unable to stop Stayner from sending pucks towards the net, and the Siskins eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Stayner got a goal from Haydon Shackleton as well. Other players who recorded assists for Stayner were Riley Brooks, who had two and Mike Mullay, Evan MacDonald, Corey De Rose, and Bradley Latour, who contributed one each. Midland's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Stayner power plays. The Flyers forced Stayner goalie Jordan Lee to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Midland was helped by Braiden Burnett, who finished with one goal and one assist. Burnett scored on the power play 5:48 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Flyers earned a power play opportunity when Shackleton was put in the box for hooking. Jesse Stoddart provided the assist. Mackenzie Sealy also scored for Midland. In addition, Midland received assists from Micael Lamontagne, who had one and Curtis Warren, who had two. Jordan Lee made 29 saves for the Siskins on 32 shots. Stayner incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jacob Schandlen turned away 39 pucks between the pipes for Midland. The Flyers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
