Aurora boosted by Sinclair's play in net, beats Orangeville 3-1

Brett Sinclair stood on his head and made 30 saves to lead the Aurora Tigers to a 3-1 victory over the Orangeville Flyers.

After the loss made the series score 1-2 in the best of five series, Orangeville faces elimination next time out.

Chad Bennett had two goals to lead Aurora to victory. Bennett's tallies came at 18:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora and 19:15 into the third to make the score 3-1 Aurora.

The Tigers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 10 penalty minutes.

Aurora excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Tigers forced the Flyers goalie Bo Bessette to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Orangeville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Aurora to score on any of its five power plays. The Flyers' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 31 shots put on the Tigers' net.

Aurora got a goal from Dylan Sikura as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Brendan Barletta, who had two and Andrew Goldberg, Nick Angelo, Dylan Wallace, and Adam Moody, who contributed one each.

Orangeville was led by Michael Capicotto, who scored the team's only goal. Capicotto scored 18 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Daniel Holt assisted on the tally.

The Flyers stifled Aurora's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
