The game between the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots and the Pickering Panthers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Toronto Lakeshore emerged with a 6-4 win. The Patriots gained the winning advantage on a goal by Ryan Kinsella 9:28 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The win by Toronto Lakeshore clinched the best of five series at 1-3. The Patriots got the win on the strength of a great game by Robbie Murden, who had one goal and two assists. Murden scored 11:45 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Shane Cavalieri picked up the assist. Both teams had a hard time staying out of the box, and they combined for 29 penalties during the game. Toronto Lakeshore forced Pickering goalie Spencer Bacon to work between the pipes, taking 57 shots. The Patriots were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to one goal off of 14 man advantages. Toronto Lakeshore could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was Brandon Willett, who totaled six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Toronto Lakeshore also got points from Daniel Tedesco, who also had one goal and two assists. Toronto Lakeshore got a goal from Alex D Oliveira as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Lakeshore were Rob Simpson, James De Haas, Wes Deme, Kyle Dutra, and Luke Shiplo, who contributed one each. The Panthers were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 60 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Andrew McCann, who totaled 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one misconduct. Joseph Pianta made six saves before being replaced by Cory Simic, who took the win and made 12 saves. Spencer Bacon made 51 saves for Pickering on 56 shots.
