Finn leads Kingston to shutout victory over Wellington

Charlie Finn was superb between the pipes for the Kingston Voyageurs, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over the Wellington Dukes.

With the win, Kingston evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown.

The Voyageurs were led by Brian Nanne, who tallied one goal. Nanne scored 3:45 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Kingston. Brandon O Quinn picked up the assist.

Kingston put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Wellington to score on any of its five power plays. The Voyageurs kept the Dukes' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Marble made 36 saves on 38 shots.

Kingston stifled Wellington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Kingston got a goal from Greg Trichilo as well. In addition, Kingston received assists from Aidan Wright and Casey Cook, who each chipped in one.

Trichilo also scored for Kingston. More assists for Kingston came via.

The Dukes' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Kingston power plays. Wellington forced the Voyageurs goalie Finn to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

The Dukes stifled Kingston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Voyageurs' Finn stopped 38 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Kingston incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Wellington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
