Whitby rides Feaver to victory over Lindsay, 2-1Iroquois - Rink#1 Fri, Feb 17, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Tyler Feaver stood on his head and made 34 saves to lead the Whitby Fury to a 2-1 victory over the Lindsay Muskies. The win by Whitby clinched the best of five series at 3-0. The Fury pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 14 penalty minutes. Whitby was paced by Steven Deeg, who finished with one goal and one assist. Deeg scored on the power play 4:00 into the third period to make the score 1-1. The Fury had taken the advantage when Lindsay's Brian Wadsworth got sent off for cross checking. Brad McAllister provided the assist. Whitby put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Muskies to score on any of their seven power plays. The Fury's offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 37 shots put on Lindsay's net. Whitby got a goal from Chris Raguseo as well. Other players who recorded assists for Whitby were Sam Gray, who had one. The Muskies' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 35 shots put on Whitby's net. Lindsay was led by Brandon Parks, who scored the team's only goal. Parks scored 19:37 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. Dean Klomp assisted on the tally. The Fury registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Tanner Davis made 35 saves for the Muskies on 37 shots. Lindsay incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
