Cal State Northridge downs University of Alabama in overtime, 7-6 (OT)

Cal State Northridge's AJ Bernhardt scored 3:44 into overtime to beat University of Alabama, 7-6 (OT).

Bernhardt had two goals to lead Cal State Northridge to victory.

Cal State Northridge forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 10 minors and one major for 25 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 20.0 minutes per game Cal State Northridge had been spending in the box. Cal State Northridge got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
