Space Coast Hurricanes failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Palm Beach Hawks shook off a number of penalties to win, 7-4.

Palm Beach Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 13 Space Coast Hurricanes power plays. Space Coast Hurricanes was unable to stop Palm Beach Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Palm Beach Hawks eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Palm Beach Hawks was helped by Sebastian Romeo, who tallied two goals. Romeo scored the first of his two goals at 12:49 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Palm Beach Hawks. Kyle Taylor provided the assist. Romeo's next tally made the score 6-4 Palm Beach Hawks with 5:08 left in the third period. Greg Soltes picked up the assist. Palm Beach Hawks additionally got points from Casey Mertens, who also had one goal and one assist, Nick Haase, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Craig Tomassi, who also registered one goal and one assist. Palm Beach Hawks also got a goal from Ian Robertson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Palm Beach Hawks were Michael Spacek, who had two and Derek Blanchard, Jake Fairchild, Matt Hartman, Riley Egan, and Justin Boyd, who each chipped in one.

Space Coast Hurricanes stifled Palm Beach Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Space Coast Hurricanes forced Palm Beach Hawks goalie Brad Rocheville to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Space Coast Hurricanes struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 36 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays.

Space Coast Hurricanes was helped by Sam Trask, who racked up two goals. Trask scored the first of his two goals at 7:14 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Palm Beach Hawks. Andrew Sanders assisted on the tally. Trask's next tally made the score 5-4 Palm Beach Hawks with 9:19 left in the third period. Charles Defelice picked up the assist. Steven Casacelli also scored for Space Coast Hurricanes. In addition, Space Coast Hurricanes received assists from Scotty Tam, who had one and Chase Halbert, who had two.

Rocheville recorded 34 saves for Palm Beach Hawks. Palm Beach Hawks incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with 16 minors. Parker Bonis made 28 saves for Space Coast Hurricanes on 35 shots.
