St Louis Selects 16U survives West Michigan Hounds 16U comeback, wins 4-3

West Michigan Hounds 16U tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but St Louis Selects 16U would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Trevor Thornton put St Louis Selects 16U up 4-2 in the third period, but West Michigan Hounds 16U pulled to within one on Matthew Van De Roovaart's tally 10:22 into the third period.

St Louis Selects 16U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 29 penalty minutes.

West Michigan Hounds 16U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was Keegan Ward, who totaled six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
