Harnish nets hat trick, leads Central Wisconsin to 6-3 win over Tri CityDow Event Center Sat, Feb 25, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Tri City Icehawks could not stop the Central Wisconsin Saints' Kyle Harnish, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-3 win. Harnish got on the scoresheet 5:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:19 into the third and at 20:00 into the third.Central Wisconsin made the most of it opportunities with a man advantage, slotting home two goals while Tri City was on the penalty kill. The Saints made the Icehawks' goaltenders to work between the pipes, finishing with 35 shots and forcing 29 saves. Keegan McGraw made 24 stops and Joel Yates made five. Central Wisconsin additionally got points from Joseph Mitch, who also racked up one goal and three assists and Max Culp, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Jeremy Ebert also scored for Central Wisconsin. More assists for Central Wisconsin came via Colin Van Hauter, who had two. Tri City forced Saints' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 39 shots and forcing 36 saves. Garret Avery made 22 stops and Mitchell Hanson made 14. The Icehawks were helped by Justin Lacy, who had one goal and one assist. Lacy scored on the power play 12:32 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Central Wisconsin. A tripping penalty on Chase Engdahl had put Tri City on the power play. Samuel Wilbur assisted on the tally. Tri City also got points from Lacy, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tri City got a goal from James Koss II as well. In addition, Tri City received assists from Chase Dore, who had two and Jarett Collins and Nicholas Murphy, who each chipped in one. Central Wisconsin incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Icehawks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
