Ebert nets hat trick, leads Central Wisconsin to 10-4 win over Tri City

A hat trick by Jeremy Ebert was the highlight in Saints' 10-4 win against the Tri City Icehawks.

Ebert's first goal came 15:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 18:30 into the first and at 3:43 into the third.

The Central Wisconsin Saints made the most of they opportunities with a man advantage, slotting home two goals while Tri City was on the penalty kill.

Central Wisconsin forced the Icehawks' netminders to work between the pipes, totaling 54 shots and forcing 44 saves. Keegan McGraw made 24 stops and Jonathan Strand made 20. The Saints excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Central Wisconsin found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Saints average four goals per game.

Central Wisconsin also got points from Michael Tiberi, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Ebert, who also grabbed three goals and two assists, Colin Van Hauter, who also racked up two goals and two assists, and Max Culp, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Central Wisconsin got a goal from Ian Dart as well. In addition, Central Wisconsin received assists from Joseph Mitch, who had two and Kevin McMorrow and Chad Sharkey, who contributed one each.

Tri City was led by Kegan Schwerin, who tallied one goal and two assists. Schwerin scored 1:34 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Central Wisconsin. Nicholas Murphy assisted on the tally. Tri City additionally got points from Schwerin, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Tri City also had goals scored by Samuel Wilbur, who had one and Justin Lacy, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Tri City were Zachery Dawson, Jeffry Wood, Henry Patterson, and Jared Martlock, who each chipped in one.

Stephen Salek made 12 saves for Central Wisconsin on 16 shots. The Saints incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Icehawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
