LONDON survives BRAMPTON comeback, wins 4-3

LONDON survived a determined comeback attempt by BRAMPTON on the way to a 4-3 win.

LONDON took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have BRAMPTON storm back on a Maeve Garvey goal 18:53 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

LONDON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow BRAMPTON to score on any of its eight power plays. LONDON kept BRAMPTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Hanna Mandl made 36 saves on 40 shots.

LONDON was helped by Tia Kipfer, who tallied three goals. LONDON additionally got points from Abbey McRae (A), who also registered one goal and two assists. More assists for LONDON came via Jessica Ross, who had one and Brittany Howard and Paige Horton, who each chipped in two.

BRAMPTON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine LONDON power plays. BRAMPTON forced LONDON goalie Jessica Dodds to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

BRAMPTON also got points from Brooke Hartwick, who also had one goal and one assist and Garvey, who also racked up one goal and one assist. BRAMPTON got a goal from Taylor Day as well. In addition, BRAMPTON received assists from Katelyn Turk, who had one.

Dodds turned away 36 pucks between the pipes for LONDON. LONDON incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. BRAMPTON incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
