BLUEWATER and OAKVILLE were evenly matched throughout their contest, but BLUEWATER made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. BLUEWATER gained the winning advantage on a goal by Cayley Mercer 13:02 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Mercer was all over the ice for BLUEWATER, as she tallied one goal and two assists in the win. BLUEWATER excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. BLUEWATER kept OAKVILLE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Camille Leonard made 44 saves on 48 shots. BLUEWATER additionally got points from Jessica Wakefield, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Mercer, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Leah Buress, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. BLUEWATER got a goal from Taylor Philip as well. In addition, BLUEWATER received assists from Meg Hannon, who had one and Rebecca Kohler, who had two.
