Mississippi Surge's Skelly deadly on offense in 6-3 win against Louisiana

Shawn Skelly had two goals to lead Mississippi Surge to a 6-3 victory over the Louisiana IceGators.

Skelly's tallies came at 15:41 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Mississippi Surge and 17:14 into the first to make the score 3-1 Mississippi Surge.

Mississippi Surge was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time. Mississippi Surge surpassed its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. Mississippi Surge found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Mississippi Surge averages 3.0 goals per game.
