Oscar Bjorkander gave Missoula a 2-1 (OT) victory over Helena when he scored 3:11 into the extra period.

Helena was stymied by Missoula netminder McKinlee Baum, who stopped 25 shots during the victory. Baum managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.18 prior to the game.

Missoula pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 21 penalty minutes.

Missoula forced Helena goalie Jett Salinas to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Missoula also got a goal from Jimmy Morris as well. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula were Corey Schafer, who had two and Blair Murphy and Brett Mathews, who each chipped in one.

Helena found itself short handed often, totaling 19 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays.

Helena was led by Trevor Tracy, who scored the team's only goal. Tracy scored on the power play 1:08 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Helena. Cody Blom provided the assist.

Jett Salinas made 33 saves for Helena on 35 shots. Helena registered one goal on eight power play opportunities.
