Motsinger nets hat trick, leads Gillette to 6-2 win over Great Falls

Great Falls could not stop Gillette's Taylor Motsinger, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-2 win.

Motsinger got on the scoresheet 3:16 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:20 into the first and at 16:56 into the third.

Gillette kept Great Falls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Michael Mcdaniels made 39 saves on 45 shots. Gillette could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was McKenzie Heaton, who totaled six minutes in penalty time with three minors.

Gillette additionally got points from Motsinger, who also racked up three goals and one assist, Tyler Cavan, who also had one goal and one assist, and Casey Moneer, who also registered one goal and one assist. Gillette got a goal from Jason Cliff as well. Other players who recorded assists for Gillette were Trent Dillinger, Adam Pecht, Matt Rose, Tyler Johnson, and Stanislav Izvekov, who each chipped in one.

Great Falls' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 32 shots put on Gillette's net.

Sean Langrieger turned away 30 pucks between the pipes for Gillette. Gillette registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Great Falls incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
