Missoula's Corey Schafer scored 2:35 into overtime to beat Billings, 3-2 (OT). Missoula was sparked by Schafer, who finished with one goal and one assist. Missoula stifled Billings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Missoula got a goal from Anders Nord as well. In addition, Missoula received assists from Blair Murphy, CJ Morrison, Brett Mathews, and Jimmy Morris, who each chipped in one. Billings put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Missoula to score on any of its five power plays. Billings was helped by Jarret Stark, who racked up one goal. Stark scored 18:44 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Colby Spoonemore assisted on the tally. Ryan Thompson also scored for Billings. More assists for Billings came via Sawyer Jacobson, who had one and Daniel Chang, who had two. Missoula's McKinlee Baum stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Missoula incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Nic Wackerly made 25 saves for Billings on 28 shots. Billings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
