Campe leads Helena over Billings, 10-0

Theo Campe was all over the ice for Helena, as he tallied one goal and three assists in Helena's 10-0 win over Billings.

Campe scored 14:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena. Devin Smith assisted on the tally. Campe dished an assist on Michael Sullivan's goal that made the score 2-0 Helena at 16:24 into the first period. He then added assists on Sullivan's goal at 9:20 into the second and on Beau Ricketts' goal at 19:57 into the second.

Helena was boosted by Jett Salinas, who turned in a shutout with 25 saves. The solid play of Salinas will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.68.

Helena made Billings' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, ripping 44 shots and forcing 34 saves. Taylor Kruiswyk made 34 stops and Nic Wackerly made zero. Helena put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Billings to score on any of its five power plays.

Helena stifled Billings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Helena additionally got points from Smith, who also finished with one goal and three assists, Sullivan, who also tallied two goals and two assists, and Cody Blom, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Helena got a goal from Ben Henne as well. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Trevor Tracy, who had three, Danny Fazio and Balasz Goz, who contributed one each, and Thomas Emery and Levi Blom, who each chipped in two.

Billings was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 28 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Colter Endy, who totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major.
