The Amarillo Bulls opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 6-1 over the New Mexico Mustangs.

Ryan Cole had one goal and two assists to lead Amarillo. Cole scored 20 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Amarillo. Clint Carlisle provided the assist.

With 49 shots on target during the contest, the Bulls exceeded the 34.7 shots they average per game this year.

Amarillo also got points from Mike Erickson, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Carlisle, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Brooks Behling also scored for Amarillo. In addition, Amarillo received assists from John Rey, Brandon Lubin, Mike Davis, Greg Gibson, and Zane Popilock, who each chipped in one.

Gregg Gruehl rejected 19 shots on goal for Amarillo. The Bulls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. New Mexico's Jake Stafford stopped 43 shots out of the 49 that he faced. The Mustangs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
