Janesville downs Springfield, 4-1

John Olen tallied one point to lead the Janesville Jets to a 4-1 victory over the Springfield Jr. Blues.

The 41 shots that Janesville put on net surpassed the Jets' average of 32.6 shots per game this season.

Eric Carlson also scored for Janesville. Other players who recorded assists for Janesville were Connor McBride, who had two, Garrett Cecere, who had three, and Jordan Bancroft and Jake Horton, who each chipped in one.

Springfield was below its usual level of shot production, taking 20 shots compared to the 29.7 the Jr. Blues average. Springfield was held below its usual level of production. The Jr. Blues average 3.4 goals per game. Springfield was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 26 penalty minutes.

The Jr. Blues were led by Tyler Rehm, who took one shot.

Nate Teuscher rejected 19 shots on goal for Janesville. The Jets incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Springfield's starting goalie, Gabe Antoni, made 22 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Tyler Parks, who stopped 15 shots. The Jr. Blues registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
